Linda manages
the daily operations of MGRRE. She
trains and supervises students who enter information in databases and who
organize cores, samples and well records.
She responds to requests for data from industry and government,
organizes technology transfer workshops, supports research grant acquisition,
conducts fund-raising, maintains donor relations, and supervises data
acquisition and archiving.
Having owned a
successful business for more than twenty years, Linda has come back to her
first love of geology. She received her
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in geology from the University of Cincinnati
and has taught geology at the secondary level and at WMU.
Linda uses her
marketing, writing and photography talents to work with the faculty in securing
funding and publicity for MGRRE missions.
She has worked
at and championed the missions of MGRRE and the Core Lab for 14 years. She and
Bill Harrison (the founder of MGRRE and the Core Lab) have been married for 40
years. They have one child who looks a
lot like a terrier mix puppy.
